Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 31, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to SyncSpoke. This Privacy Policy explains how SyncSpoke collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our web application to upload and distribute media to various social media platforms (such as YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook).
2. Information We Collect
- Account Information: When you create an account, we may collect your name, email address, and authentication details.
- Connected Accounts (OAuth): To post on your behalf, SyncSpoke requires you to link your third-party social media accounts. We authenticate these connections using OAuth 2.0. We do not store your passwords for these third-party platforms; instead, we store secure access tokens.
- Media Files: We temporarily process the media files (videos, images) and associated metadata (titles, tags, descriptions) you upload for distribution to connected platforms.
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the core functionality of SyncSpoke (uploading your media to connected platforms).
- To maintain and improve the application.
- To manage your OAuth tokens for secure API communication.
4. Third-Party Services and API Usage
SyncSpoke utilizes third-party APIs to publish your content. By using SyncSpoke, you agree to the terms and privacy policies of these third parties:
- Google and YouTube: SyncSpoke uses YouTube API Services. By authenticating your YouTube account, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy.
- Google API Services User Data Policy: SyncSpoke's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
- TikTok, Facebook, and others: When connecting other accounts, your data interactions are governed by their respective privacy policies.
5. Data Storage and Security
- Data Retention: Media files and associated data are retained only as long as necessary to complete the publishing process or as dictated by your scheduling preferences.
- Security: We implement standard security measures to protect your access tokens and account data. Because SyncSpoke can be self-hosted via Docker, security is also dependent on your individual server environment and network configuration.
6. Your Data Rights and Revoking Access
- You can disconnect any linked social media account at any time within the SyncSpoke settings, which deletes the associated access token from our database.
- To revoke SyncSpoke's access to your Google/YouTube account, you can visit the Google Security Settings page at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions.

Terms of Service
Effective Date: October 31, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the SyncSpoke web application ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
SyncSpoke is a content distribution hub that simplifies the uploading of media files by centralizing functionality and distributing content to various connected third-party social media platforms, including but not limited to YouTube, TikTok, and Facebook. SyncSpoke may be self-hosted via Docker or accessed via a provided hosting environment.
3. User Accounts and Security
- Responsibility: You are responsible for maintaining the security of your SyncSpoke installation (if self-hosted) and the confidentiality of any connected account authentication tokens.
- OAuth Connections: SyncSpoke utilizes OAuth 2.0 to securely connect to your third-party social media accounts. You retain control over these connections and can revoke access at any time through the respective third-party platform's security settings.
4. Compliance with Third-Party Policies
Because SyncSpoke interacts directly with external social media APIs, your use of the Service must strictly adhere to the terms and policies of those platforms. By connecting your accounts, you explicitly agree to comply with:
- YouTube: The YouTube Terms of Service and Google Privacy Policy.
- TikTok: The TikTok Terms of Service and Community Guidelines.
- Facebook/Meta: The Meta Terms of Service and Community Standards.
Failure to comply with third-party policies may result in the suspension of your API access or termination of your connected accounts by those respective platforms.
5. Acceptable Use and User Content
You retain all ownership rights to the media files you process through SyncSpoke. However, you agree not to use SyncSpoke to:
- Upload or distribute content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights of others.
- Distribute spam, malware, or illegal content.
- Circumvent API rate limits, quotas, or restrictions imposed by connected third-party platforms.
You are solely responsible for the content you upload and distribute using SyncSpoke.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. SyncSpoke makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the availability, reliability, or successful delivery of content to third-party platforms, as these actions rely on external APIs subject to change and downtime.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SyncSpoke and its developer(s) shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of connected social media accounts, or API bans resulting from your use of the Service.
8. Modifications to the Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of SyncSpoke following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
